Worst Ex Ever is the second installment of the anthology true crime documentary franchise Worst Ever.

Following in the footsteps of the first interaction, Worst Roommate Ever, the first season of Worst Ex Ever chronicles 4 intense, graphic, and heartbreaking true stories of domestic violence. The team at Little Blackstone was tasked with producing the animated reenactments for each episode, with intense detail and realism. The goal of the animation was not only to share visual components of the stories to aid in helping the viewer understand the gruesome nature of the crimes being depicted, but also to add a stylized approach that heightened the tension, without distracting from the serious tone.

A team of 70+ animation artists & producers brought this 2D/3D hybrid series to life with traditional, hand-drawn, character animation and realistic 3D environments
