This animated series has been created to engage children in critical thinking about their rights and freedoms. Set in a fictional town populated by varied fuzzy and furry creatures, each episode presents a problem for the bumbling Mayor Moe and his collection of diverse city councillors. At the beginning of every episode the council is presented with a problem that needs a solution addressing a conflict of rights and freedoms. The show is structured to demonstrate that no solution will ever be adequately fair to everyone. We learn that often we have to choose between things that are “not great” and “worse”, or “OK” and “maybe better”. The kids will have to decide for themselves: What is fair?
