7 time Emmy award winner and 20 time nominee, Jocelyne has been pioneering CG animation & design since 1982. Ms. Meinert started bigstudios inc. in 1991, completing large scale design & animation projects for clients such as HBO, MTV, CTV, CBC, ESPN, CBS and NBC. bigstudios is now one of the most established animation design studios in North America. Little Blackstone was started by Jocelyne, industry veteran Patricia Burns (now at Spinmaster) and Dharmali Patel to focus on the burgeoning development of series work that was taking place at bigstudios. Joss continues to direct and manage the design and implementation of large scale projects including original content development, 2D and 3D animation production.
With 17 years in the animation industry, Dharmali brings her vast experience and creative funk from almost every conceivable role in animation production. Dharmali’s passion for finding the biggest creative vision for any new project, while successfully meeting the business practicalities like budgets & production schedules – keeps her immensely motivated. Dharmali has worked on a number of productions airing on Teletoon (Canada), Cartoon Network, Nickletoon (UK), as well as projects with Warner Bros. & Disney. At Little Blackstone, this Director of Animation wouldn’t want to be doing anything else!
Rainy brings over 20 years of experience in Visual Effects and Animation industry to our team at Little Blackstone. A Seneca graduate, Rainy entered her career as a 3D animator, but quickly found her love of Visual Effects and worked for many years as a VFX compositor. Years later she stepped away from being a artist and moved into production. Rainy's vast knowledge of many pipelines and software, has helped her excel at knowing timelines and budgets. Some of her almost 100 Film & Television credits include; Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, PBS Kids Odd Squad, ABC Scandal, The Dark Knight, and many more. Rainy's broad spectrum of knowledge with all size productions & budgets makes her such a great asset to our team. She can light up a room with her smile and brings a great energy to any environment she is in.
Starting as an eager Producer back in 2007, Mark ended up as the eager General Manager a few years later. He enjoys bringing his demented dog Dex to the studio and gets a kick out of seeing himself as the occasional Motion Graphic.
